Laser cutting is based on the ability of the beam to penetrate deeply into the material and, due to the very high temperature generated locally, instantly transform the solid material into gases and vapors. Due to the high temperatures generated it is possible  the formation of toxic gases and / or explosives dangerous not only for health, That is why cutting and engraving must be carried out only by means of safe and certified materials.

HOW CAN I GET AN IDEA OF THE MATERIALS THAT CAN BE USED?
In general, by way of indication and not exhaustive, the materials that can be  used are:
 

• Wood (solid, plywood, veneered)
• Paper (simplepaper, cardboard,  cardboard)
• Leather and Leather
• Plexiglass (Polymethylmethacrylate or cast PMMA)
• Glass (engraving only)
• Stone (engraving only)

HOW THICK IS IT POSSIBLETO CUT THEVARIOUS MATERIALS?

The maximum thickness to which you can cut the material depends very much on the type and its density. In general, for dense materials such as wood and plexiglass it is possible to reach a depth of 10mm with a perfectly perpendicular cut.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CUT PIECES AT AN ANGLE OTHER THAN 90 DEGREES (E.G. USE A 45 DEGREE ANGLE)?

No, it is not possible, the laser operates only perpendicular to the material.

IF I HAVE TO SEND YOU A PROJECT FILE,WHAT FORMAT DOES IT HAVE TO HAVE?

All vector files generated by the most popular design and graphics programs are fine as CORELDRAW, AUTOCAD (DWG and DXF), ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR. Even . EPS(Encapsulated  Post Script) and . PDFs are fine, but you need to check that they are managed by vector software otherwise they are not convertible. In general, however, the scope of software compatibility is extremely wide and variable, and depends on multiple factors that are not always uniquely identifiable, so it is possible that a file in another format may be requested if it is not possible to view it correctly.

I CAN SEND YOU A PROJECT IN A FORMAT OTHER THAN THOSE SPECIFIED, SUCH AS A PHOTO, A . JPG OR ASIMPLE S SCAN PDF?

It is possible to send projects in these formats, but a computer development will be necessary to make them vector and compatible with the laser cutting machine and therefore a cost will have to be incurred that will be counted infase of estimate.
